How to connect

Pick the assistant you use.

ChatGPT

  1. 1Open ChatGPT's advanced connector settings and turn on Developer mode (read the risk notice shown there). If it isn't available, ask your ChatGPT admin to enable it.
  2. 2Open the New plugin dialog.
  3. 3Enter InstaGift as the name and paste the connection link above as the URL.
  4. 4Review the details, tick “I understand and want to continue” (ChatGPT shows this for every custom connector), then click Create and sign in to InstaGift.
  5. 5Enable InstaGift from the chat composer, then ask ChatGPT to find you a gift.

Claude

  1. 1Open the prefilled custom connector dialog in Claude.
  2. 2Review the name and URL, then click Add and sign in to InstaGift.
  3. 3If the prefilled form doesn't open, go to Claude's Connectors page, choose “Add custom connector”, name it InstaGift and paste the connection link above.
  4. 4Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to pick out a gift.

Claude Code

Run this one line in your terminal:

  3. 3Ask Claude Code to browse InstaGift's collections.

Other MCP clients

  1. 1Open your assistant's MCP server or custom connector settings.
  2. 2Create a new remote MCP server connection.
  3. 3Name it InstaGift and paste the connection link above.
  4. 4Complete the sign-in prompt with your InstaGift account.
  5. 5Enable the connection, then ask your assistant to use InstaGift.

Refreshing after we update InstaGift

Assistants remember what InstaGift could do when you first connected. After we add something new, refresh the connection.

ChatGPT

  1. 1Open ChatGPT's Plugins page and select InstaGift.
  2. 2Scroll to “Information” and click Refresh.
  3. 3If the link above changed, delete the plugin and add it again with the new link.
  4. 4Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use InstaGift.

Claude

  1. 1Open the Connectors page and select InstaGift.
  2. 2Refresh or update the connector's tools.
  3. 3If the link above changed, remove the connector and add it again.
  4. 4Ask Claude to use InstaGift.

Claude Code

  1. 1Start a new Claude Code session — it picks up the latest automatically.
  2. 2If the link changed, run claude mcp remove instagift-launchpad and run the install command again.
  3. 3Ask Claude Code to use InstaGift.

Other MCP clients

  1. 1Open your assistant's MCP server or connector settings.
  2. 2Select the InstaGift connection.
  3. 3Refresh the tool list, reload the server, or reconnect it.
  4. 4If the link changed, paste the latest one from above.
  5. 5Start a new chat and ask your assistant to use InstaGift.
